Embedding the SME100 Stream
The Embed VLC / SMP / QuickTime panel (see
e
in figure 74) on the Live View Settings
page creates HTML code that can be placed into customized web pages. Before placing
this code into a web page, make sure that all of the settings on the SME100 have been
properly configured and that the stream is viewable from the Live View page.
NOTES:
• Embedded streams will not work if a user password is required to access the
stream.
• To view the stream, a remote viewer must install the same media player plugin that is
being used by the SME100 for streaming.
• This procedure uses a Microsoft
®
Windows
®
operating system and may vary
depending on the operating system used.
To create a basic web page that presents a SME100 stream:
1. From the desktop, select Start > All Programs > Accessories > Notepad. This
opens a new Microsoft Notepad document that can be used to create custom web
pages. Leave this document open on the desktop.
2. If necessary, access the web-based user interface of the SME100 (see the
"Accessing the Web-based User Interface" section on page 47) and navigate
to the Live View Settings page (see page 98).
3. Copy the HTML code, located in the Embed VLC / SMP / QuickTime panel
(seefigure76).

4. Paste the HTML code into the open Notepad document. Figure 77 shows the code
